Pennies to the Left
Yesterday, I was at Wendy’s, and received some pennies as change. I promptly donated them, because I hate carrying around small change. However, I underestimated the importance of this small denomination of currency. Later that night, I bought something that cost $3.26. Had I kept all my change, I would have been excited to pay that $3.26 with exact change. Instead, I begrudgingly handed over $3.50, and sighed when I was handed four more pennies. So the moral of this lesson is to never donate your pennies.

Everything you own in the box to the left
This song is REALLY STUCK in my head. To the left, to the left. AHHH!
For Christmas, my sister got a new dog. His name is Javi. (pronounced HHHHHHHHaaaaaaaavi, like a short Javier). He’s an Australian Shepherd, and judging by the size of his monster paws, he’ll be 70 pounds by next May. Cheers.

Dancing Animals
My sister found this. It’s pretty funny.
Scientists can’t yet fully explain why evening types appear to be more creative, but they suggest it could be an adaptation to living outside of the norm.
Outside the norm people rock!

Save the Cheerleader, Save the World!
I’m HOOKED. HEROES is such a good show! If you don’t know what the show is about, there are people with superpowers scattered throughout the world who are destined to come together and save it. Plot has been really interesting so far, and seeing how everyone is connected is fun. Fall finale is tomorrow, 9pm NBC!
An actual story from a travel agent:
A man called, furious about a Florida package we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando. He said he was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to explain that is not possible, since Orlando is in the middle of the state. He replied, “Don’t lie to me. I looked on the map and Florida is a very thin state.”
More funny stories here.
A really really big panoramic picture of Paris at night. Beautiful.
“What’s in an e-mail sign-off? A lot, apparently. Those final few words above your name are where relationships and hierarchies are established, and where what is written in the body of the message can be clarified or undermined.” Interesting read at NYTimes.com
