This movie was stupid but it had its share of good laughs. The skating scenes were particularly hilarious and were the only parts of the movie I thoroughly enjoyed. The rest of the movie, however, wasn’t that great. Overall, I think it’s worth a watch, especially for scenes like this:

Today, preliminary results from my thesis came back, and they were really really good. By the time my master’s thesis is done, I will have made at least three (in my mind) significant contributions to the world of cartilage biology and osteoarthritis. I really like the project I’m working on, and there are times I think I just want to go for a PhD. But sadly, that takes time. Do I really want to be a student for ~4 more years? Why do I want to work so badly? I don’t think I know what I want.

As hilarious as Scrubs is, the show really shines because it also mixes in truths about real life.

Here’s a speech from Bob Kelso to a fat patient who wanted to opt for surgery instead of trying to lose the weight:
“You’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame.
But missy, let me break this down for you Bobbo style.
Life is scary. Get used to it.
There are no magical fixes. It’s all up to you.
