Computer randomly plays “Fur Elise”

I think this is the most hilarious support problem:

During normal operation or in Safe mode, your computer may play “Fur Elise” or “It’s a Small, Small World” seemingly at random. This is an indication sent to the PC speaker from the computer’s BIOS that the CPU fan is failing or has failed, or that the power supply voltages have drifted out of tolerance. This is a design feature of a detection circuit and system BIOSes developed by Award/Unicore from 1997 on.

I’M BACK!

It’s been almost 3 months, but my contract dispute has finally been worked out. From now on, I will be getting all the internet revenue for my writing!

Unfortunately, the TV writers are not in the same boat, and many of my favorite shows will be at risk of an early holiday. If you want to know how many episode scripts have been written for your choice shows, check out this chart.

Notables:
“24″ - Will have eight or nine out of 24 episodes completed. Originally scheduled for January, now premiere is delayed.
“Scrubs” - Expected to complete 12 of 18 episodes.
“Lost” - Expected to have eight out of 16 episodes ready. Midseason, none have aired yet

The updates I remember:

  • Over the summer, I went to China. Pictures
  • I’m done with med school! For my BME PhD core requirement, I had to take a med school class, Physiology, and it was the first and last med class I will be taking EVER. There was simply too much studying involved, and I now know all my doctor friends are crazy for going through all that.
  • Verizon FIOS TV + Panasonic plasma = SO AWESOME
  • My internet keeps getting faster:
